Job Title: Fixed Asset Manager

LS Global specializes in optimizing business operations worldwide through expert outsourcing. We are currently recruiting for one of our clients for a Fixed Asset Manager position. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fixed asset accounting, managing capitalization policies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role serves as a key point of contact for fixed asset activities, leading financial strategy, and collaborating with leadership to maintain strong internal controls and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers, impairments, and retirements.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset close process, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions and reconciliations.
- Maintain the Company's fixed asset subledger and ensure reconciliation to the general ledger.
- Review capital expenditures to ensure compliance with capitalization policies and proper accounting treatment.
- Partner with business leaders and project managers to assess capital projects and determine appropriate asset classification and capitalization.
- Develop, implement, and maintain fixed asset accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies related to fixed assets and capital spending.
- Manage depreciation calculations and reporting across multiple asset categories and locations.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes by providing fixed asset and depreciation projections.
- Partner with Facilities, Store Development, Distribution Center Operations, and IT teams regarding asset acquisitions, disposals, relocations, and project completion.
- Prepare and present fixed asset and capital expenditure reporting to Finance leadership and key stakeholders.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Advanced accounting coursework or professional certifications preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of fixed asset accounting experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of people leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience within a multi-location retail, distribution, manufacturing, or consumer products environment preferred.
- Experience supporting financial audits and internal control compliance programs required.
- Experience working with large ERP systems and fixed asset software modules preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles, capitalization policies and depreciation methodologies.
- Thorough understanding of capital project accounting and construction-in-progress accounting.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP platforms, fixed asset management systems, and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to evaluate complex accounting transactions and apply appropriate accounting treatment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective internal controls.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information to both accounting and non-accounting audiences.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across Finance, Operations, Facilities, Information Technology, Supply Chain, and Store Development teams.
- Experience driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to financial integrity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills(English C1 proficiency)
